Discussion: Reading multiple books at a time?

Today I'm going to talk about the age old question 'do you read more than one book at a time?' I've always been a person who read one book, finished it and then started another. I'm just generally like this in life as well, I'm very much do one thing and then go onto another. I'm not very good at multitasking. So for me, reading more than one book at once had never really been a thought until recently.

A life update

So I've been kind of absent in the blogging community for the past week or so. I haven't been commenting as much as I would usually or even at all most of the time. I had some blog posts queued so my posts were still going up but I've now ran out of drafts so I felt like I need to write this post to explain why my blog isn't going to be as active in the coming weeks.

Seeking Mansfield by Kate Watson || REVIEW

This book is apparently a Mansfield Park retelling. I haven't read that so I can't comment but even so I really enjoyed this book. I requested this book on netgalley because of the synopsis. I thought it sounded like a cute contemporary, but I didn't have high hopes for it having not heard anything about it before. However, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this book.

DISCUSSION: How Do You Choose What To Read?

So I know this sounds like a fairly obvious task but I'm curious to know whether choosing a book to read is the same for everyone or whether choosing books is more personal and individual. I think I've been reading long enough to know the kind of books I like but I have noticed a few things I look for...

The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin || Review

The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer is one of those books that's been around for a LONG time. I've heard good and bad things about this book, and the rest of the series, and I wanted to read it for myself for so long. After writing my Series I Haven't Read/Finished post I realised just how much I'd wanted to read this when it came out. I decided I was in the mood for it and FINALLY picked it up.

Favourite TV Couples

So as well as being a bookworm I am also a TV addict. Like seriously, I watch so many TV shows it's beginning to be a problem. I actually had to stop watching some to focus on others because I was getting too overwhelmed with all the shows I wanted to watch. I had no time for anything! Anyway, the best thing about TV shows (debatably) is your favourite ship, and wow do I have a few! Just a warning if you watch any of these shows are haven't caught up then I'm sorry if I ruin something!

Caraval by Stephanie Garber || REVIEW

Caraval has been everywhere lately, if you've not heard of it then you probably live under a rock. I'd seem a mixed bag of reviews so I decided to read it for myself to see what all the fuss was about. The plot is based around a game called caraval and follows two sisters; Scarlett and Tella. They have wanted to visit caraval since they were children and they finally get the chance, but everything is not as it seems and the game is more than they expected.

February Wrap Up

I'm currently speed writing this post because guess who forgot there's 28 days this month. Me, that's who.

Most Anticipated YA Releases - March

Last month I posted a young adult releases of February, so I thought I'd do it again. This is by no means all the releases of March. Just a few that I'm looking forward to the most.

Holding up the universe by Jennifer Niven || Review

I read this book for the #bookentine read-a-thon. Although I did a wrap up for that, I just knew I needed to write a full review for this book because I just have so many feelings about it. I'd heard a lot about Jennifer Niven and her other book 'all the bright places'. I was actually more interested in reading this one though, and I am so glad I finally did!

My Anxiety.

I've wanted to write this post for such a long time but I'm not sure how to word it, I want it to sound eloquent and perfect but I know it probably won't. I've never written anything this personal before and I don't want this to be to deep or anything but I think this is a really important topic.

Who Am I? || TAG

It's time for a tag post. I've done two tag posts before (I think) but those were both book related tags. This one's a little different because it's all about me! I saw this tag on Tasya's blog The Literary Huntress. I wasn't technically tagged to do this post but it looked really fun and I'm a sucker for quizzes so I decided to do it anyway!

#Bookentine Wrap Up

I participated in the bookentine read-a-thon this month and it was honestly so fun! I have a love hate relationship with contemporary books and I honestly found some gems in this readathon. Here's my wrap up!
