February Wrap Up

I'm currently speed writing this post because guess who forgot there's 28 days this month. Me, that's who.

Honestly, this month has been kind of slow for me. Not that I'm complaining. Last week I did go to see the comedian Jack Whitehall though (who was absolutely hilarious by the way)! My boyfriends mum ended up getting his dad tickets for his birthday and then me and my boyfriend decided we wanted to go as well, so just tagged along with them! Then the next morning they treated us to a Whetherspoons breakfast which was amazing ♥

Other than that I've just been blogging, reading and doing university work. I know. It's a wild life I lead. I will say though I feel like I'm kind of in a blogging slump (even though I'm not sure if this is a real thing). I just can't find the motivation to go to read other blogs at the minute. It's not good.

1. My Heart and Other Black Holes by Jasmine Warga - (Review here)
2. Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas
3. Little Peach by Peggy Kern
4. The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin (Review here)

5. The Fill-In Boyfriend by Kasie West - (Review here)
6. Caraval by Stephanie Garber (Review here)
7. Seeking Mansfield by Kate Watson (Review to come)
8. Holding Up The Universe by Jennifer Niven - (Review Here)

Overall I think I had a pretty good reading month for me. I think I might be in a reading slump at the moment though. I'm currently reading Simon vs the Homosapiens Agenda but I just don't seem to be picking it up. I'm just not in the mood for reading right now. Hopefully the slump goes away soon!

How has your reading month gone? Any posts that I should know about? Link them below and I'll take a look!

  1. Sorry you're in a reading and blogging slump. :( I hate when that happens. It does seem like you read a lot of fantastic books! I love the Mara Dyer trilogy! Simon vs. is a recent favorite for me so I hope you end up loving it too!

I'm glad you like the trilogy, I can't wait to read the second book, I was so engrossed in the first one! And yes, simon vs is so good so far! It's so cute I can't deal with it! Thanks for visiting!

  3. I need to read My Heart and Other Black Holes! I keep forgetting I have it! I also need to get my hands on Holding Up the Universe since I love Jennifer Niven.
Take a few days to not blog, not read. Just clear your head and then get back to it :)

    1. It was a really good read but also so raw and difficult! I'd really recommend holding up the universe though, I loved it! Yeah I took a little break, not completely, but less than I normally would! I'm feeling a bit better though so I think I'm slowly coming out of my slump!

  4. It looks like you had a really great reading month! February wasn't the best reading month for me, I ended up giving most of the books I read 3 stars or under. I hope your reading slump goes away. :)

    1. Oh no, I hate when that happens, I'm actually having fairly good luck with books at the minute!

  5. Blogging slumps are definitely real. There are times that you just can't convince yourself to get into the swing of things and you either need to take a step back or just push through it.

    1. Yeah, I think I'm powering through it. I just need to be in the right mood to blog otherwise I don't enjoy it and then what's the point? Thanks for stopping by!

  6. Don't force yourself with reading and commenting on other blogs. Just go with your own pace and try not to feel guilty. It's perfectly understandable :) Also, I hope you get out of your possible reading slump. Can't wait to read your reviews on Caraval & The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer :)

  7. I've seen good and bad reviews for 'Universe' and Caraval but the latter as well as The Fill-In Boyfriend is on my eventual TBR!

Hope you find your blogging rhythm again, Kirsty. :)

    1. I know! I think I'm coming out of it now though! I really loved holding up the universe, I ended up giving it 5 stars! I feel you on the tbr situation, I requested a load of books from netgalley thinking I wouldn't get many of them and then BAM. All these books at once...

  10. Sorry to hear you're slumpy. That happened to me in the beginning of February and thankfully it was short-lived. Simon Vs. is one of my favorites. I've listened to it on audio at least 3X and just adore it. Hopefully it's just bad timing for you and not the book. Little Peach was a sad one. I love Kasie West but haven't got to The Fill-In Boyfriend yet. My favorite by her is P.S. I Like You. Love that one!

    1. Yeah it sucks! Yeah little peach was really sad and eye opening but I also felt a little underwhelmed with it. I'll have to check out p.s I like you because I really want to read some of her other books!
