The Names They Gave Us || ARC REVIEW

I received this book as an ARC via Netgalley. I hadn't actually read anything by Emery Lord before but the cover drew me in and then the synopsis sounded so intriguing. I'm a big fan of contemporary's at the moment, and after reading a ton of positive reviews I was really excited to pick this book up!

The opposite of you || ARC review

I was drawn to this book when I saw it on Netgalley. I thought the cover was beautiful and smart and the premise of this story really intrigued me. I'd never read anything about identical twins before so I thought I'd give this a go. I received this book from Stripes Publishing via Netgalley, this does not affect my opinions in any way.

Windfall || ARC review

I just finished reading this book and I knew I had to write this review straight away. I received this book from Macmillian Children's Books via Netgalley.

Daughter of the Pirate King || REVIEW

I'd seen this book mentioned so many times over the past month or so and I just knew I had to pick it up. I mean...pirates. Theres not much else to be said really. I was expecting to like this book because I'd seen such great reviews and I was not let down.

Simon vs the homosapiens agenda by Becky Albertalli || REVIEW

I cannot even begin to tell you how many times this book was recommended to me. I've heard just the most amazing things about this book and this author and I just knew I had to read it. Not only that but I was approved for Becky Albertalli's new book on Netgalley so I really wanted to read this book before that one!

Seeking Mansfield by Kate Watson || REVIEW

This book is apparently a Mansfield Park retelling. I haven't read that so I can't comment but even so I really enjoyed this book. I requested this book on netgalley because of the synopsis. I thought it sounded like a cute contemporary, but I didn't have high hopes for it having not heard anything about it before. However, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this book.

The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin || Review

The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer is one of those books that's been around for a LONG time. I've heard good and bad things about this book, and the rest of the series, and I wanted to read it for myself for so long. After writing my Series I Haven't Read/Finished post I realised just how much I'd wanted to read this when it came out. I decided I was in the mood for it and FINALLY picked it up.

Caraval by Stephanie Garber || REVIEW

Caraval has been everywhere lately, if you've not heard of it then you probably live under a rock. I'd seem a mixed bag of reviews so I decided to read it for myself to see what all the fuss was about. The plot is based around a game called caraval and follows two sisters; Scarlett and Tella. They have wanted to visit caraval since they were children and they finally get the chance, but everything is not as it seems and the game is more than they expected.

Holding up the universe by Jennifer Niven || Review

I read this book for the #bookentine read-a-thon. Although I did a wrap up for that, I just knew I needed to write a full review for this book because I just have so many feelings about it. I'd heard a lot about Jennifer Niven and her other book 'all the bright places'. I was actually more interested in reading this one though, and I am so glad I finally did!

#Bookentine Wrap Up

I participated in the bookentine read-a-thon this month and it was honestly so fun! I have a love hate relationship with contemporary books and I honestly found some gems in this readathon. Here's my wrap up!

A List Of Cages By Robin Roe || REVIEW

Okay. If you haven't already read this book then you need to. I know it's been getting a lot of attention recently but for GOOD reason. One of my main reasons for picking this up was because of the friendship in it. To be honest I was a bit fed up with reading about romance and I have been dying to read a good friendship novel. Boy was this it...

A Quiet Kind Of Thunder by Sara Barnard || REVIEW

So I'm going to start this by saying if you haven't read this book then you need to...like right now. I've seen this book mentioned so many times but as soon as I read the synopsis I knew that I had to read it. It's based around a girl who has extreme anxiety and selective mutism. This was such an important factor to me picking this up as I have anxiety myself, and love reading about people who struggle with some of the same issues as me.

Made You Up by Francesca Zappia || REVIEW

I can't exactly remember how I came across Made You Up by Francesca Zappia, but I knew that I had to read this. Reading about mental health problems is something that really interests me (probably because I'm doing a psychology course at university). I can't quite explain to you why, but I feel as though it gives me an insight into the lives of living with different mental health conditions that I otherwise will probably never understand completely.

Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas || REVIEW

So I know I'm extremely late to the party on this one, even though this has been on my TBR list for so so so long. Throne of Glass has been a cult favourite for years now but up until recently I hadn't really been too interested in reading fantasy books. As I got interested in the genre more I knew that this had to be my next read considering how many people loved it. Initially I wasn't sure whether to do a review, purely because I know there's already so many, but I thought maybe there's people who live a hole and haven't read it yet. Just like me.

Quests of the Kings by Robert Evert | REVIEW

Stalking Jack the Ripper - Kerri Maniscalco (REVIEW)

Hello everyone, sorry for my lack of posts. I've been super busy with university but now that I'm up to date with all my assignments I promise I'm going to post more.

I can't even begin to explain to you how excited I was to read Stalking Jack the Ripper by Kerri Maniscalco. I've always been fascinated by stories of serial killers and what makes them tick. Although I've never been a big fan of historical books I knew that I had to read this one.
