The Inexplicable Logic of My Life by Benjamin Alire SĂ¡enz

Synopsis
Sal used to know his place with his adoptive gay father, their loving Mexican-American family, and his best friend, Samantha. But it’s senior year, and suddenly Sal is throwing punches, questioning everything, and realizing he no longer knows himself. If Sal’s not who he thought he was, who is he?

Why I want it: I read this authors other book 'Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe' a long time ago and I remember loving it. It was an easy read that dealt with a lot of issues. I also love that this book features gay parents because that's not something I see a lot. Most of the time it's the children in books who are gay. I'm interested to see the dynamic between all the characters. I'm just looking forward to everything about it. It releases on March 7th and I can't wait!

You are so right, theres tons of books now with gay characters, but never gay parents.
I haven't read anything by this author before, but I really hope this book is a hit.

  9. Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe was recommended to me by a friend but ended up not reading it. I think I've read a book with gay parents; can't remember the title though since I didn't exactly loved it. I will definitely consider this though since I've read good things about the author :)
