Waiting on Wednesday || Daughter Of the pirate king

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill at Breaking The Spine. The aim is to let everyone know what book or books you are anticipating this week!

A 17-year-old pirate captain intentionally allows herself to get captured by enemy pirates in this thrilling YA adventure.

If you want something done right . . .

When the ruthless pirate king learns of a legendary treasure map hidden on an enemy ship, his daughter, Alosa, knows there's only one pirate for the job—herself. Leaving behind her beloved ship and crew, Alosa deliberately facilitates her own kidnapping to ensure her passage on the ship, confident in her ability to overcome any obstacle. After all, who's going to suspect a seventeen-year-old girl locked in a cell? Then she meets the (surprisingly perceptive and unfairly attractive) first mate, Riden, who is charged with finding out all her secrets. Now it's down to a battle of wits and will . . . . Can Alosa find the map and escape before Riden figures out her plan?

This book sounds so incredible. It releases on the 28th of February so not long to wait! I just love pirates tbh...

  6. It's been much too long since I've read a book about pirates! I want to read this, but it's not on the top of my TBR (yet)! For me, it depends on what the reviews will be like. Great pick Kirsty! I hope you love it. :) Here is my WoW for the week.

  7. This one does look like a really interesting read - especially since pirate reads seem rare. (Plus it helps that I adore Disney's Pirate movies with Johnny Depp.)

Thanks so much for the Finding Wonderland blog follow, Kristy. Hope you enjoyed visiting. :)

    1. Omg yes, I used to love pirates of the Caribbean! It kind of went more and more downhill for me as it went on though. But I am so excited for this book. I'm hoping that the MC is going to be a really strong female lead, I love that!
